10_04_2008 TOREX STRENGTHENS OPERATIONS IN IRELAND
Appoints new management and emphasises commitment to local customer base
DUNSTABLE, UK – 10th April 2008 – Torex Retail Holdings Limited (Torex™), the leading European-based global provider of software and solutions to the extended retail marketplace, today announced strengthened operations in Ireland with a senior appointment and a commitment to further invest in the region and respond to customer demands. At the same time the company stated that it would broaden the product portfolio available to the Irish market, introducing proven solutions in the areas of point of service (POS) and human capital management.
Fin O’Driscoll has been appointed Managing Director Torex Ireland with responsibility for managing and growing the Torex business in the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland. O’Driscoll brings with him more than 12 years experience in the software industry in Ireland including positions as Managing Director at Wincor Nixdorf Ireland and Sage Software Ireland.
The focus in Ireland will be on improving customer service levels, building market share throughout the region, and introducing a wider set of Torex solutions to this marketplace. As a first step in the company’s transformation in Ireland, Torex will be moving into new headquarters in Dublin providing improved facilities for customer training and support.
