11_06_2008   TOREX APPOINTS DOUG HARGROVE AS CHIEF MARKETING OFFICER

New Position to Drive Product Strategy and Meet Customer Needs

DUNSTABLE, U.K. – June 11th, 2008 - Torex Retail Holdings Limited (Torex™), the leading European-based global provider of software and solutions to the extended retail marketplace, today announced that Doug Hargrove has been promoted to the newly created position of Chief Marketing Officer, reporting to Graeme Cooksley, President and Chief Operating Officer.

The role includes responsibility for all aspects of branding, the Torex product positioning and strategy, as well as the go-to-market approach. Over time Hargrove will develop a solutions strategy for that will enable Torex to become the pre-eminent supplier and cultivate a purchase preference for Torex solutions in the minds of customers, prospects and partners.

Initially Hargrove will focus on ensuring that the Torex solution and services proposition is both in line with market requirements and accurately reflects its customer’s business drivers.  He will also lead the Torex pursuit of innovative solutions that provide improved ROI for our customers.

Hargrove brings to the role more than 20 years experience in retail, including positions with well-known UK High Street names and with the software companies who supply solutions to the retail market. His career to date includes management positions within J Sainsbury Plc, Budgens Stores Ltd and Anker Systems Ltd. Most recently Hargrove was Vice President of Torex UK and Ireland.
