10_07_2008 TOREX ANNOUNCES NEW VICE PRESIDENT CENTRAL EUROPE
BERLIN, GERMANY – July 10th, 2008 - Torex Retail Holdings Limited (Torex™), the leading European-based global provider of software and solutions to the extended retail marketplace, today announced the appointment of Juergen Herbott as Vice President, Central Europe. Herbott will be responsible for growing and developing the business within the region and through providing leadership and direction to the regional team will implement the global solutions strategy within Central Europe.
Herbott brings with him over 20 years’ experience of senior roles in the industry, including IBM, Siebel Systems, Hyperion Solutions and Oracle. Commenting on his new role within Torex, Juergen said: “I look forward to playing an integral role in helping Torex to build its operation in the Central European region. Our goal is to become a trusted partner in the region offering an integrated solutions portfolio, excellent customer service and deep industry knowledge. Today increasing numbers of organisations are recognising the operational efficiencies that integrated solutions bring, as well as the value they deliver in helping to define a compelling customer experience.”
Under Herbott’s leadership, Torex will strengthen its footprint in the Central European region, with the objective of building an organisation with the reach and local expertise to support customers and serve regional and local requirements, as well as those of global retailers as they expand into the region.
Central Europe comprises Germany, Austria and Switzerland and is a key area for growth for Torex. As part of its go-to-market strategy Torex has made a pledge to customers in the region that the products will continue to be supported and they will collaborate with them to further develop solutions that meet their business needs. To complement the existing products within the region Torex will also be introducing additional solutions from the international portfolio that covers supply chain management and business analysis. Already widely deployed in other countries across the globe, Torex Compass-SCM and Torex BA will provide solutions to provide enhanced customer satisfaction.
